Youth awareness on sustainability
In the last 15 years, Sustainable Development acquired great importance
in public opinion and political choices involving National and Local
Governments and also all the associations of the civil society which
daily deal with such problems, opportunities and goals (recycling, global
warm, exploitation of natural resources, pollution, green jobs, renewable
energy sources, protected areas).
This was the playground of the training course: the importance to give
directly to young people and youth worker, through a non formal educational
process, the challenge to address several topics in the framework of
Sustainable Development (life style, awareness and education, critical
consumption, common goods, intercultural dimension) in order to increase
their active participation and their inclusion in a so important process
for European Society, to manage “Youth in Action” projects
to let develop personal, collective, cultural, environmental growth and
to put in practise and to promote some common awareness activities in
each community involved.
