Window in Europe
The idea of this project was to create an international opportunity
to develop skills, knowledge and methodology to use multimedia tools
in the youth work for strengthening of civil society, citizenship and
democracy. Primary target groups of the project were group leaders and
youth workers who wanted to learn about and/or develop their skills in
using (multi)media for promotion of positive values such as social inclusion,
anti-discrimination, anti-racism, etc.
The preparatory work consisted of analyzing and collecting good and bad
examples of local experiences of linking Youth Work and Multimedia with
special attention to those activities promoting Active Citizenship and
Tolerance.
During the training these activities were realized - icebreaker dynamics,
an association fair, working sessions on non-formal education, intercultural
learning, youth work, youth work and media, a session of sharing campaigning
experience, 3 different practical workshops /Video, Photographic and
Audio/, prezentation of Youth in Action Programme, 2 working sessions
on future projects, an open public event titled “Window into Europe” and
evaluation. The methodology of non-formal education was used. The OTM
