Workshop “Reciclart”
The project born from the idea to inform and stimulate young people
in scholarship age on the thematic that normally are not developed in
schools because of lack of time, funds or because are outside of the
formal educational process.
The education to recycle and to the reuse of wasting material and the acquisition
of manipulation capacities are important in order let young people acquire knowledge
and skills to live with the nature that is around them.
The target group is composed by those young people who are in phase of their
life in which the learning process is continuous and could be more effective
if based on encouraging creativity and games.
General aim of the project is to stimulate, in the involved young people, the sense of being part of an international and intercultural community that must be preserved by the environmental degradation informing them and stimulating their curiosity on different life styles, letting them discovering that recycling and reusing waste material are fundamental aspects to build a common cultural patrimony and to enrich the life of everybody.
During the project have been realised different activities:
- Explanations and discussions on the topic of recycling
- Principal behaviour rules
- Practical realization of objects, games, musical instruments using recycled and reused material
The objects have been realised through wasting material to educate the
young people to a more rational and intelligent use of the resources
and to the thematic of recycling and critical consumption.
Each classroom realised two working session with a duration of two hours
each.
At the end of each session, everybody had to co-operate in cleaning the
room, putting attention to use the right wasting box according to the
different materials to be recycled.
In order to share with local communities the results of the workshops,
some public presentations were realized involving the families, the schools
and the citizens.
Different materials were used in the workshops:
• Photocopies to show to participants some images, documents, stories.
• Plaster, glue, adhesive tape, papers, markers, brushes, wool, strings,
textile, etc.
• For a better comprehension of the process of the workshops, participants
collected wasting material in their homes like glasses boxes, newspapers, plastic
plates etc.
